It has occurred to me that I have not posted any pics of the place we are staying at.
Well – the house is situated just south of Yolla, a little further into the hills than the township itself. We do not have the run of the entire house, but rather a granny flat type area downstairs. We have a bedroom, with a rather comfy king bed, bathroom, laundry and small sitting area. Unfortunately not the kitchen, so we cook in the van which is parked in the yard just outside our door. This is not a problem as we have everything a well equipped kitchen could ask for in the van and we are quite used to cooking in the shoe box. It does mean a mad dash outside on cold mornings however.
The house and gardens – including the rather large wood pile
The area we live in has heating, but no fire place. There is an area outside the bedroom that is partially enclosed with stone where we have a little wood stove. There is heaps of hot water, a good thing because I do love a long hot shower on a cold night. The yard is quite large, with a hot house, currently full of tomatoes, and there will be hundreds of strawberries when they mature and ripen. We also have a walnut tree in the front yard, but after the first few weeks we both got a bit sick of them.
The road down to coast
The road home
The deck is lovely on a nice sunny day and has great views across to the water. No so flash when its wet and windy.
Bessy on the deck and frolicking in the garden
The drive down to the coast is quite picturesque and seems to change daily depending on the moods of the weather. Hopefully will have something a little more exciting next post – maybe some pics of where I am working!!!!!

Looks like a great place to spend a bit if time. I am in NZ and it is also cold. Those strawberries sound great and you would be Macys best friends for ever if you could supply her !
Hey, just a thought…..l think it would be a great idea if you posted a map of where you are and where you have been for those like me who have to look up the places you are at……….
Hi Pam – glad you are cold too. I will see what I can do about the map. The strawberries are mine, all mine.
