Hi ho, hi ho

Hi ho. hi ho

It’s off to work we go

In the freezing cold

And sleet and snow

Hi ho, hi ho, hi ho

Well maybe not sleet and snow – yet – but it is cold, and so far it’s only Cheryl off to work. I started some part-time work about 2 1/2 weeks ago at a small nursing home in Wynyard. It’s a lovely place with great staff, and three days a week is enough to keep me out of mischief. Peter is yet to find something, but I am confident he will pick up some work soon.

Last weekend we went for a drive to Fernglade reserve just outside of Bernie. It’s a lovely little spot up in the hills behind the city. Shame about the rain. Got a few pics but it was a bit wet and dull to do the spot justice.

We now have a cow, yes just one, in the paddock beside the house. Bessy now knows what an electric fence is after a fairly “shocking” introduction when she stuck her nose on it. She has since been seen growling at the fence as she walks past, but has not ventured within a couple of feet of it.

Seeing as how I don’t have much in the way of pics or exciting news, I have decided to add some photos of NZ that were taken in 2006 when we were on holidays over there. I have also included some shots from whale watching off the cost of Bucasia in Mackay, Our friends Doug and Julie are currently tripping around NZ – so guys the challenge has been sent out for you to get some spectacular shots. You never know I may even feature them on the site!!!!

  1. Appreciating the time and effort you put into your
website and detailed information you offer. It’s nice to
come across a blog every once in a while that isn’t the
same unwanted rehashed material. Fantastic read!
I’ve saved your site and I’m adding your RSS feeds to my Google
    account.

    • Glad you are enjoying the posts. A bit boring at present as we are in one place working for a bit. Check out the older posts, they are at least somewhat more interesting.
