North Coast South Australia

Well after a night and half a day looking around Woomera it was on to the Northern Coast of South Australia – first stop Port Augusta.

We spent four days looking around the area and went up into the Flinders Range and over to Whyalla. I was really surprised at how nice the district is, especially the stone houses and the waterfront areas. We might have to come back and live here, a 3brm fully restored stone cottage sells for around $140,000.

After leaving Port Augusta we headed down the Yorke Peninsula towards the west coast. We are bush camping along the coast line going down the west and then back up the east coast before heading to the Adelaide Hills. Any complaints – yes, the bloody flies!!

Bessy has settled in well and just about has us trained. She knows the van is “home”, sleeps when traveling in the car, fetches a ball or stick and has doubled in size in tow weeks – maybe not that small a dog after all.

Some interesting road signs from SA – just in case you don’t get it you are a wanker, knob or cock!

  1. Sounds like you guys are having a ball. Suggest you pay $50 at Penfolds in Adelaide and do the tasting of premium wines…also Maggie Beers restaurant in Barossa
