With New Norcia and the monks fine ale behind us we headed towards to the Perth area of Baldivis for a catch up with Sandy and Jorg. We originally meet this couple at a place called Long Waterhole out near Winton around ten years ago. Shared travel experiences with them as we journeyed on to Darwin and have remained in touch. With a bit of luck might get to share some travels again.

After continuing south the weather became quite wet and windy – it has to rain, but it was a little unpleasant all the same. On the up side I managed to get a few WA rainbows.

Visited an old work colleague in Bunbury and moved on to the Margaret River area for a few winery and Forrest visits.
Currently in Albany – a beautiful town with some stunning beaches and impressive coastline. The South Western area of WA is certainly an extreme contrast to the northern regions.
I will do a separate post on Albany when we have finished our stay here. Hopefully once we head inland from Esperance the wild flowers will be more plentiful, but they are starting to flower.

I will end with a photo of a mural from Mount Barker – I think it’s one of the best I’ve seen so far.
