Well after six months of all work and little play we have finally managed a getaway for an extended weekend in the van.
Just a short trip south down to Cape Palmerston, Green Hill and Notch point. We took the wimps way out and stayed at the Cape Palmerston Caravan Park (wonder dogs allowed) and just did a day trip to Notch Point.
A bit of fishing in the creeks, some beach driving and a little bush bashing. Caught a few fish, but the Tiger prawns from the local prawn farm were definitely the highlight from a food point of view.
It was hot a hell, and rained both nights, and we got bitten by the local Megasaurus Medges up the creek – but all in all, a nice break away. Peter and Bessy wanted to turn south when we hit the highway coming home, but work on Monday!!!
