On the move again – but not the kind you would be thinking

Soooo – while I was up in Mackay, the owners of the house we rent advised they would like to start renovating sooner than they expected and would January the 9th be OK! Well not really, but what choice do we have???

Lucky for us the rent Gods have been kind. The house next door (yes right next door) became empty the same week, and the owner agreed for us to move in, dog and all. So on Thursday we packed up and moved, not that we have that much – but how do people accumulate “stuff” without even trying?

It is a much nicer house and a bit more expensive, but very comfortable. All through winter we longed for a fireplace, now that it’s summer (I use the word loosely as it is currently 14 degrees at 10.30 in the morning), we are in a house with not one, but four fireplaces.

We have not done anything exciting since Greg went back to Canberra, just lots of work and packing and unpacking really. We both have the weekend off – but just going to veg out. I might play with the iPad Greg gave us and work out how to drive it properly. How exciting, it talks to the fitbit (that Greg also gave me) and gives me updates on how much exercise I am not getting – got to love technology.

Next post will be filled to the brim with exciting tales of travel and adventure – maybe.

  1. At least you will be able to finish dinner and have Peter roast you some marshmallows on the fire place and massaging your feet after he has filled your glass with nice Tasmanian wine….
