Well last time we went to Cradle Mountain it was winter and dam cold – not so this time. A beautiful clear sunny day and pretty hot as well.
Our third son Greg is down here visiting for a week, and so we went off to Cradle Mountain for a bit of a hike and look around. It was a pretty busy day up at the National Park with lots of locals, interstate and international visitors.
We packed a picnic lunch and set off on one of the easier walks around Dove lake. Easy for Greg – first he ran around the circuit and then joined me for a second lap walking around. I use the word easier fairly loosely, as there are some steeper bits and some downhill sections with fairly loose footings. I have no idea how Greg managed to run the first lap! I was pretty knackered at the end of the day.
Wild Flowers along the way
Managed to get some good pics, the panorama’s are courtesy of Greg. I have also added few pics of the poppy fields around Wynyard.
