Wynyard – Tulip Festival

So it’s that time of the year again – time for the Wynyard Tulip festival, the biggest event on the calendar each year. (so I am told). The festival, complete with street parade takes place next Saturday, so we decided to go out driving today to check out the tulip farms. It is a public holiday down here so for once we are both off together.

Most of the farms are located on Table Cape along with the lighthouse and some spectacular views. I highly recommend spirng time to visit Tassie. The weather is quite mild – warmer days, but still cool at night getting down to around 3-6 some nights – and nowhere near as much rain. There are wild flowers, along with tulips everywhere.

I have been very slack with putting up post lately but there has not really been much to say. Just work, work and more work. We are off to Hobart for four days at the end of the month so maybe some good pics and something a bit more exciting to say.

Have a close look at the house on the side of the cliff – a good strong wind and it might just take off across the Bass Straight.

Greg (number 3 son) sent be a fitbit a few weeks ago – who would have thought it was so hard to walk 20,000 steps a day!!
