For the term of our natural lives

So I was at work last week and one of the Doctors ( a Queenslander himself, I might add) asked if I had be sent to Tasmania “For the term of my natural life”. Sort of feels that way a bit after working nine days straight. I keep telling them I am on a working holiday, with the emphasis meant to be on holiday, not work. Not to worry, there a worse places to spend a bit of time.

It has been a gloriously sunny weekend, if not a bit cold, and I have just come back from a long walk on the beach. Stopped in the park at the river mouth and watched the kayak racing for a bit on the way home. And to make the week even better – Queensland finally won a game in the State of Origin.

Bessy has discovered the mud flats along the river, but poor little dear is still feeling the cold.

Peter has landed some part time work doing training and is still waiting to hear about a full-time position at Bunnings. We have not been able to get away to Strahan as yet, but maybe in the next few weeks. Until then just some more boring photos of Wynyard and the dog.

Robyn, our wonderful daughter-in-law, became an Australian Citizen last week – Canada’s loss, defiantly our gain.
