Well we have been in Mackay much longer than we anticipated. Nearly two months! I think we may have outstayed our welcome. But we have dodged the bad whether down south, and just got a little cyclone here with a bit of wind and rain. Have managed to get a few mud crabs but not much in the way of fish.

It is lovely living beside the sea, but during the cyclone the sea got a little close for comfort.

Peter and I are both still working, I finish tomorrow and Peter has a few more days. So we are planing to get away early next week and return to Adelaide to retrieve the van so we can finally head of to Tasmania.

On we get to Tassy we have a house sitting gig in the town of Yolla. It is for up to six months so we will be in Tassy for the big chill. The plan is to do a bit of work – Bernie is only 11kms away and do short 3-4 day trips around the State. Will keep you all posted, take lots of pics and try not to freeze.

Bessy survived her operation, the biggest problem was keeping her “quite” for 10 days. She continues to grow and is definitely not going to be a small dog.
