So far so good – no issues, still smoking, but not as much – at least we haven’t killed one another yet.
Currently staying at “High Ground Camp” on the Nogoa river near Fairbairn Dam. Its like bush camping but with a water supply via tap, and only $6.00/day. The river runs through the property and there are supposed to be barra, and black brim as well as red-claw in the river. Haven’t seen any yet, got some bites yesterday, but no fish – still beats working. Going to check the red-claw pots later today and might even have a swim, although the water is freezing.
Not sure where we are headed to after this. The plan was to go to gem fields, but Peter thinks he might like to see Bedford Weir. He was talking to some campers and they said the fishing and red-claw were pretty good there – of course its in the wrong direction! I can see us cirss crossing the country, aimlessly wandering around from one good fishing spot to the next – as I said

OMW Cheryl mind out swimming is there a possibility of crocs there. What are red claws???
